Alberta Central Railway Museum
Great for history buffs, and set in the city of Wetaskiwin, the Alberta Central Railway Museum is set in northern Alberta – just south of Edmonton. The museum features an exhibition car, special events, a gift shop, and of course, train rides.
Historic train rides are held on the 1926 first-class observation-buffetsleeper known as Mount Avalanche. Open from May through September, the Alberta Central Railway Museum features events like Children’s Day, Alberta Central Railway Day, Ice Cream Festival, and Canada Day celebrations.
