Located between Abraham Lake and Nordegg Lake along David Thompson Highway, the recreation area is home to the two-tiered, 25-meter Crescent Falls.
Crescent Falls is set at the confluence of Bighorn River and North Saskatchewan River, at the end 4.5-kilometer trail from the highway. The Crescent Falls Provincial Recreation Area – set upriver of the falls – features fishing, horseback riding, and hiking in the front country.
